LCSWA Supervision
Championing our Emerging Colleagues
Clinical Supervision for Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associates in North Carolina
As a newly Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate, first we say, congratulations! We welcome you as a colleague and comrade and are thrilled to meet with you and be a resource to you in any number of ways. You may fit one or more of several scenarios which has lead you to Obsidian Care Collective:
You have an "in-house" supervisor at your agency but are seeking additional clinical supervision hours towards your licensure and want tailored support around an area of clinical expertise one of us possesses.
You may NOT have an "in-house" supervisor at your agency and are seeking a regular supervisor to support your professional growth, guide you through the board requirements, and assist you in meeting your hours towards full licensure.
You may have started a private practice as a LCSWA and need a clinical supervisor for your professional development, learning, and your supervision hours and you hope to get specialized training and support with your patient populations. Please note: Obsidian Care Collective LCSWA Supervisors only consider associate level providers who meet our established minimum experience requirements for LCSWAs in private practice. Professional experience should be provided via your current resume/CV and will be discussed during your consultation.
You may have transferred from another State or another agency and are seeking support to complete the last leg of your Associate Licensure status.
You were referred to us by a colleague and curious about our experience and teaching style as you screen and vet different supervisors with the goal of finding a synergistic match.

LCSWA Supervision fees:
Individual or group supervision fees will be determined between your prospective Clinical Supervisor and you and be considered sliding scale. Be prepared to consider if your agency will reimburse you for outside supervision, what your income is against other financial responsibilities, student loan debt you may be carrying, your practice setting and the frequency of between supervision session contact required, how much you may be charging your patients if you are establishing a private practice, and whether you have cultural capital or hold an identity that has traditionally meant that doors are often opened for you as you build your career.
