Your provider at Obsidian Care Collective is extensively cross trained by industry leaders on both Dr. Peter Levine's protocol from Somatic Experiencing International (SEI), Ariel Giarretto’s Somatic Sexuality Healing Practitioner (SSHP) model, and Dr. Diane Poole Heller's Dynamic Attachment Re-patterning Experience (DARe).

SOMATIC EXPERIENCING (SE™) is a method your provider is equipped to use in session with you after you have discussed the impact and efficacy of the treatment protocol. SE integrates psychobiological approaches towards the goal of resolving trauma symptoms and relieving chronic stress. SE practitioners join with clients to become curious about where a person's nervous system could be “stuck” in any number of the following threat responses: fight, flight, freeze, appease, or collapse. These responses were exquisitely developed and we believe that your system's responses to danger or overwhelm were executed and initiated with the ultimate goal of protecting you when faced with impossible situations. DYNAMIC ATTACHMENT RE-PATTTERNING EXPERIENCE (DARe) is an adjunctive modality that your provider at Obsidian Care Collective is also equipped to utilize in working somatically with interpersonal and relational traumas. The DARe model was created by a long time teacher from the SEI, Dr. Diane Poole Heller. DARe protocol intertwines psychoeduation and renegotiation with respect to different attachment styles as they present in the relational field. Working with anxious, avoidant, and disorganized attachment responses, your provider at Obsidian Care Collective can employ specific techniques to steer you towards enjoying a sense of security and ease in interpersonal relationships of all kinds.Learn more by following THIS LINK

SOMATIC SEXUALITY HEALING PRACTITIONER sessions are an adjunctive modality that your provider at Obsidian Care Collective is also equipped to utilize in working somatically with recovering from sexual trauma and increasing capacity for touch and pleasure. The SSHP model was created by a long time teacher from the SEI, Ariel Giarretto. SSHP protocol intertwines aspects of SE while working with nervous system responses to receiving touch, connecting with one’s own sexuality, and sharing experiences of sexual intimacy. What might happen in an SE, SSHP, or DARe session?

Somatic Experiencing and DARe sessions last approximately 60 minutes and combine features of traditional talk therapy such as working with narrative as well as tracking and engaging in sensations and physiological impulses that arise in real time. SE and DARe trained practitioners may explore imagery and sensing into how different outcomes or resources present themselves. With explicit consent and when indicated, gentle touch on your arm or back is utilized to co-regulate nervous systems between client and practitioner.

How much do SE, SSHP, and DARe sessions cost?

Somatic Experiencing and adjunctive training and certificate programs such as DARe and Somatic Sexuality Healing Practitioner require your provider to engage in highly intensive, multi-year professional development commitments. Your Obsidian care provider has ardently spent several years in multiple post-graduate and post-licensure clinical training series to acquire and hone the skills required to not just meet the competencies but to also inhabit a mastery level of expertise. All SE, SSHP, and DARe services are priced as specialty care services and are considered fee for service. Additionally, we are not able to extend monthly enrollment discounts for these services. Please note, we are unable to submit Out of Network courtesy billing or provide you with a superbill for reimbursement. SE, SSHP, and DARe sessions do not use the traditional model of diagnoses from the ICD 10/11 or CPT coding and therefore cannot be considered reimbursable by Out of Network benefits.

Somatic Experiencing, SSHP, and DARe sessions cost $175 per session which last approximately 60 minutes.

Please note that Louise is an approved Personal Session Provider to Somatic Experiencing Beginning Year students accredited by the SEI. Louise is also an approved personal session and consultation provider for Somatic Sexuality Healing Practitioner students.

Fees:

$175 per 60 minute session for personal sessions towards SEP & SSHP certifactes

For SE students who are scholarship recipients the fee is $100 per 60 minute personal session

Consultation sessions towards SSHP certificate fee is $100 for 60 minutes and constitutes 1 credit hour of consultation

Louise is also an approved teaching assistant for the Somatic Sexuality Healing Practitioner certificate and the Somatic Experiencing Practicer certificate at the Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced levels by the SEI.
