At Obsidian Care Collective we are unapologetically and fervently committed to undermining the harm that our queer and trans community endures while simply trying to survive, thrive, and access healthcare. We have a demonstrated history of reallocating resources and willfully relinquishing positions of privilege and power towards the end goal of transforming our lives collectively. Stepping into and befriending our authenticity brings us closer to our liberation; an endeavor meant to occur while in connection with others.
Honoring Gender Variance: Transgender & Non-Binary Healthcare Services
Obsidian Care Collective providers have extensive training on providing care and advocacy for clients seeking clinical support with their experiences of gender. Your provider has been trained and is experienced with both the Informed Consent Model as well as the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care, version 8.
Clinical Advocacy Services Include:
Assessment & Referral Letters for gender-related medical interventions to the providers of your choice that meet industry standards and are completed with precision the first time
Gender Marker changes and support with aligning identifying documentation
Referrals to free resources aimed at supporting how you experience gender
Psychotherapy and Medical Case Management
Providers who have fostered impeccable collegial relationships with multi-disciplinary medical professionals and are knowledgeable about most, if not all, medical interventions available

The intersections of our identities are central to our lived experience and have impacted how we experience our sense of self and our access to support. For some clients seeking psychotherapy, being a member of the queer community is central to their recovery goals and for others it is but one of many aspects they are sifting through. Your provider at Obsidian Care Collective has a combination of lived experiences and advanced post-graduate clinical training that equips them to incorporate your identities into your care. Providers at Obsidian Care Collective are able to work with identity exploration, affirmation and integration with clients starting at the age of 14 and into all stages of adulthood.
How we find Love: Relational Diversity
Having engaged in extensive training on attachment theory and the impacts of early childhood experiences as they inform how we engage in important relationships, Obsidian Care Collective providers are thrilled to be a resource to you. We possesses intermediate-level expertise in supporting polyamorous folks who are engaged in all kinds of constellations of relationships; past and present. We also possess intermediate-level expertise in affirming and navigating the intricacies within BDSM/Kink practitioners and community members.
