Trevia Woods, M.Ed., MSW Candidate ‘26
No Longer Accepting Referrals for Virtual Services at the
Equitable Care Clinic at Obsidian
Trevia Woods (she/her) is an Obsidian Care Collective 2025-2026 Clinical Intern. She is completing her Masters of Social Work (MSW) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she is focusing on trauma-informed clinical practice. She provides sliding scale services via telehealth under the supervision of Kade Collins, MSW, LCSW.
Clients working with Trevia can expect to feel fully seen and supported as they reconnect with themselves and build resilience. She values collaboration, empathy, and consent. She believes that healing happens in connection with ourselves and others, along with the communities and histories that shape us. That’s why Trevia uses developmental science, relational + parts-oriented approaches, and community-based healing practices.
Trevia warmly welcomes clients of all identities and lived experiences, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, and nontraditional communities & relationships. She brings two decades of experience in bodywork, education, and community-building to support adults navigating:
developmental & complex trauma
intergenerational patterns and family-of-origin dynamics
neurodivergence
cultural identity exploration
systemic traumas like racism, ableism, and fat phobia
chronic health issues
Trevia is a queer, multiracial woman with Indigenous ancestors currently growing roots in North Carolina. Her previous experience includes facilitating community dialogues on cultural appropriation, belonging, and collective healing. She is passionate about creating spaces where people can hold many truths about themselves and their lineages while releasing shame and finding connection. Trevia’s credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Indigenous Cultural Studies, a Masters of Education, and she was a formerly licensed massage therapist for 15+ years.
Outside of her work, Trevia enjoys reading, making diamond dot art, hosting board game days, paddle boarding, falling down rabbit holes of various interests, and spending time with her chosen and bio family (including her dog, Indy). She finds joy in gathering with community and practicing both self-care and collective care, especially as she navigates life with Long Covid. These practices help her cultivate a rich, full life and deepen her commitment to supporting others on their healing journey.
Summer 2026: Trevia is NO LONGER accepting referrals for clients seeking accessible virtual care at Obsidian. She will conclude her practicum with Obsidian in July, 2026.
